At a time when false narratives and polarizing tactics threaten democratic integrity, LBGS joins a European network of institutions defending truth, ethical political communication, and public trust. This commitment reflects our mission to prepare responsible leaders who uphold democracy through integrity, critical thinking, and civic responsibility.

Fighting Disinformation, Misinformation and Populism

On May 8th, during the EAPC Lisbon Conference, Lisbon Business and Government School proudly launched the Lisbon Declaration, a public affirmation of our commitment to the principles of truth, transparency, and democratic integrity in political communication. This declaration reflects our shared responsibility — as educators, strategists, and public leaders — to actively counter the rise of disinformation, manipulation, and populism in today’s political discourse.

Aligned with this initiative, LBGS has also formally subscribed to the EAPC Code of Ethics, reinforcing our dedication to ethical standards in political consultancy and public affairs. We believe that professional integrity and democratic resilience must go hand in hand. The Lisbon Declaration stands as a call to action: for political actors, consultants, and institutions to commit to informed debate, fact-based engagement, and the defense of pluralism and civil trust in democracy.
